Field Producer

Wayne was born in Rockingham Memorial Hospital in 1963 while his folks were in school there.  They then moved back to Western NY where he spent his first 11 years.  His Dad then took a job in Sarasota FL as a teacher, spent 4 years there, and moved back to Virginia in the Timberville area.  Wayne's first memories are of hearing hunting and fishing stories from his Dad, Grandfather, and Uncles.  He could not wait to get a gun in his hands and go with them. He started fishing early, but the hunting had to wait until he was older.  His first gun was a Daisy lever action BB gun. He still remembers shooting his first English Sparrow, and what a sense of accomplishment he felt!  He couldn't have been more proud!  Wayne has lived in Kansas, in Alaska for 10 plus years, and then in 2004 he moved back to the Shenandoah Valley region in the Timberville area!  He has had his own business for over 19 years, making custom cabinets and countertops.  He has had the privilege of hunting and fishing from Florida to Alaska and a bunch of places in between.  Wayne is looking forward to sharing some adventures with you on SVOutdoors as this year progresses!

Our Story...

Shenandoah Valley Outdoors started in 2006 and aired weekly on Comcast's WAZT channel covering the northern Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia until the summer of 2009. After that, Mike (the Producer of SVO) spent two years in Florida going to film school (Full Sail University) to begin chasing his dream of one day working full-time in video production and motion graphics.  SVO Media was born and in October of 2013, SVOutdoors went back on the air with an all-new "Season One" airing 13 new episodes in the valley again on Comcast's WAZTV channel. In 2014, we expanded our broadcasting area for Season 2 which aired on both Comcast's WAZTV and WHSV TV 3 out of Harrisonburg, VA collectively reaching over 345,000 households.  We pride ourselves in filming our outdoor experiences and presenting them in a way that's exciting and entertaining for the whole family.

Our Mission...

Is to encourage people of all ages to get involved in the great outdoors by filming, producing and broadcasting our hunting experiences.  We encourage everyone to post pictures and videos of their outdoor experiences on our Facebook page and interact with us on both Facebook and Twitter. We continue to focus our efforts in bringing high quality HD outdoor footage to our viewers, specifically showcasing the areas in the Shenandoah Valley.

Mike Price

Senior Producer & Owner of SVO Media LLC

Mike'a passion for digital arts began when he taught himself how to edit with Avid Express Pro HD. Having always loved the outdoors, Mike began filming his adventures on camera and eventually, with a handful of friends, put together a local hunting and fishing show called Shenandoah Valley Outdoors. The program soon became popular with outdoorsmen/women in the Valley.

Although the program was successful, Mike wanted to become more competent in all the areas of digital arts and design. In August of 2011 he graduated from Full Sail University with a bachelor of science degree in Digital Arts & Design.  Mike is now the owner of SVOMedia.com, the production company for Shenandoah Valley Outdoors, and Just Kill'n Time TV.  SVO Media has grown to include:  Graphic Design, Photography, Aerial Cinematography, and Web Design.
